While Chirpy was Lally's biggest hit, it was by no means his only success. He wrote hundreds of songs which were released by himself or recorded by other artists. He also wrote music for films and the TV.

Over the coming months we will be showcasing some of his original material from his records and master tapes. Amongst this collection are versions of songs recorded in Lally's home studio which shows their development from idea to final song.

Semoilta, written by Lally and recorded by Jerry Reed, was at number 19 in the American Country Charts, 1977.
